The lovely Miss Blue, the extremely talented singer, first became a part of the Grampa's Grass family after meeting John backstage at the Galaxy Theatre. It didn't take long for The Grass to desire to have Lisa's vocal talents as a part of the band. This lead to her permanent spot in the group. Lisa began singing at the age of eight, immediately taking to the blues. It only took a few more years until she found her voice for rock and roll. One of her biggest influences would be Janis Joplin. People have come up to her saying that they believe in reincarnation and that after hearing her sing Janis, they know where her soul wound up.
But regardless of your beleif in the soul of the sixties singer finding its way into Lisa, you can't deny the soul and power of her voice. With influeces like Janis, Etta James, and Big Mama Thorton, you know she needs the voice to back it up. You may have seen her playing with the JGB cover band The Maykers, or possibly singing with Family Tree, or maybe sitting in with Cubensis, either way you'll recognize her soulful singing anywhere she may be.
And if you're really lucky, you may run into Lisa when you are lying back at the dentists office, flashing you her gorgeous smile as she says, "This won't hurt a bit." Brother, I tell you she can make it hurt so good.
